Sure, sweat can be a good thing. It always nice to know your body’s largest organ is there and ready to react to the scorching heat, to quickly spit out giant droplets of impure toxins to cool your internal system off but there is no denying that this mysterious miracle of the integumentary system can tend to be a bit out of control, over-excited and downright embarrassing.

When the sweat’s got you stinky, self-conscious and unattractive, abide by these seven suggestions:

1. Bring a rag. The least you can do is a quick wipe down for the sake of the chair.

2. A spray might help — but boys, stay away from Axe, and ladies, try not to go crazy with those migraine-triggering fruit creations.

3. To avoid being known as the profusely sweaty person in class, maybe a fresh, clean shirt or new outfit altogether is necessary. Stash one in your bag and change it out before the bell rings.

4. Put ice under your helmet or cap to keep cool, but with this tip a wipe-down will certainly be necessary.

5. Be the kid in the back with a fan. Seriously, those babies aren’t just for Six Flags anymore.

6. Sweat-wicking shirts. Sure, they might have an overly sporty look for your taste, but they work sweat-be-gone magic!

7. Wear a hat and kill two atrocities with one fashion fix: block sweat and don’t worry about styling your hair.
